289 Midway Motel - Oamaru

I was really disappointed with the shower-low water pressure made it feel more like a drizzle than a refreshing wash. Plus, the cracked shower tray looked like a DIY fix with paint over it. Not what I expected at all!

My stay was good in February 2014 for a 3 night stay. They gave me updated and airy room with multiple beds and all appliances for one's needs, for example. It exceeded all expectations.

Great value unit with a microwave, an electric kettle, and refrigerators. Handy and comfortable location, particularly good area, adjacent to the grocery store. Besides, very convenient to Bull House.

The location is fantastic, just a short drive from the charming Victorian precinct, making it easy to explore the area. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean, ensuring a comfortable stay. I appreciated the large bathroom, which had been recently renovated, and although the kitchen had not yet been updated, it was equipped with everything I needed.

enjoyed the place, it was great value and worked for me. the location was handy, not far from the railway line and sh1, historical attractions and tourist sights. also, lewes priory park was situated on the doorstep.

Really enjoyed our quiet room. Throughout the day staff were very kind. The location was marvellous and ideal, knowledgeable on local attractions.

The location was perfect, quiet, and the staff were friendly and helpful, making me feel right at home.

The breakfast offerings could benefit from larger milk portions.

Central location, ease of access and friendly management

Everything was excellant, great service, excellent location close to Oamaru Gardens and historic part of town as well as Oamaru, very clean & light. The personnel was superfriendly as expected. I was very happy with the newly renovated room, that was complete with multiple beds and the bathroom and TV channels.

We had a lovely, romantic escape at this motel! The location was super convenient, just a short walk to shops and restaurants. We also appreciated the friendly hosts who made us feel welcome. The spacious room was comfortable, and we enjoyed having a kitchen area where we could prepare our meals together.

We did notice that the place could use a bit of TLC. Some areas felt outdated, and unfortunately, there was a bit of a musty smell in our room. Plus, the shower pressure was really low, which made it tricky to enjoy. it was a decent stay but could benefit from some improvements.

The location is fantastic, close to tourist attractions, Oamaru Gardens, and plenty of places to eat. the staff is really helpful and excellent, plus you can conveniently park your car on-site. 😊.

Our stay at 289 Midway Motel was truly enjoyable in the charming Victorian town of Oamaru. We appreciated having an adjoining bedroom that was bright and spacious, complete with a private bathroom. the location was perfect for visiting the Sunday market, and the staff went above and beyond with their friendliness and helpfulness.
